Work Smarter, Not Harder: Using the Moon’s Cycle to Super-charge Your Next Project

When you sit and think about it, it makes rational sense. We get our periods each month or so, the Moon goes through a full cycle every month or so, and we have clearly seen the tides changing based on the Moon’s phase.

The more I study Astrology (and it’s a life-long topic to study) the more I realize the importance of the role of the Moon in our horoscope and in our lives. For example, do you know your Moon sign as well as your Sun sign? If you don’t, you’ll be surprised to know that the sign of your Moon has an intense impact on your emotional well-being, how you nurture others, and what kinds of partners bring you a sense of peace and safety. Learning more about your Moon sign and how it functions is just the beginning!

Consider what might happen if you planned your next project in line with the Moon’s cycle? It’s worth a try. If you are signed up to my newsletter or you follow my Instagram posts, you’ll know that I talk a lot about upcoming Moon cycles and their corresponding energies, vibrations, and areas of our lives that are highlighted each month.

Here’s a super basic outline to get you thinking about what this might look like in practice:

New Moon: Set intention for the month: what do you want to manifest, what is the goal of your project?

Waxing Moon: Put your plan into place and take actionable steps to build it.

Full Moon: Reflect on how far you've come and consciously express gratitude for the growth.

Waning Moon: Assess what needs to be adapted in the coming month to help you reach your goal

Longer term projects will take more than one month to come to fruition, and that’s okay. But, if you follow this basic guide, you’ll start to notice that you’re actually harnessing the energy of the universe and using it to your advantage. That sounds like working smarter, not harder to me!!
